Castleberry High School played Fort Worth's Carter-Riverside on November 7 in
their final varsity football game of the year. Castleberry won the game 26 to 0.

CHS Band Burning of the Gloves on November 7

In keeping with a 30+ year tradition, the CHS senior band members held a ceremony
to burn their marching band gloves following the Sweetheart Game on November 7.
Mr. Philip Aikman, CISD Director of Fine Arts and former CHS Band Director, facilitated
the ceremony. Mr. Aikman provided the band members with a history lesson on the
origination of the "burning of the gloves", which dates back to his first year as
CHS Band Director.
